Sep 25, 2001/ FWD/ --- Marcus von Ackermann has left Conde Nast Traveller to become fashion director of
Marie Claire UK.
"I'm delighted. Marie Claire reaches a huge number of readers. And the people at the magazine are a wonderful
family to be joining," von Ackermann told FWD.
A highly experienced fashion stylist, von Ackerman leaves his post as UK Traveller's fashion director after
less than nine months. In February, he replaced Paula Reed, who left to become fashion director of the UK
edition of InStyle, which was launched this spring.
Von Ackermann formerly spent four years as French Vogue's fashion director, and before that held the same
position at British Elle.
No replacement has been named for the much-respected von Ackerman, who begins his new job tomorrow in Milan.
