NEW YORK, Nov 11, 2003/ FW/ -- Forbes recently ranked her number five on their list of the wealthiest
and most powerful celebrities.
She's the first female artist to top both the US charts and box office in the same week.
Last year, her fragrance Glow by JLo was one of the top selling perfumes in the world, and
marketed primarily to 15 to 25 year olds.
And now, Jennifer Lopez is expanding her empire by adding another fragrance "Still Jennifer Lopez" -- and
talking exclusively about how she develops her perfume ranges, her vision of
beauty and how they reflect her personality.
Aimed at women over 25 and developed in partnership with Lancaster Group,
"Still Jennifer Lopez" was launched across the United States last October 31st.
To portray a more mature theme, ads for "Still Jennifer Lopez" feature Lopez
in elegant gowns and poses.
The new ad slogan says, "In the eye of the storm I
am still Jennifer Lopez." A line that refers both to the media frenzy
surrounding her love life and also speaks to her loyal fans.
Referring to the
name of her new fragrance, Jennifer explains, "It means no matter what happens,
I am 'still' myself. I am 'Still' Jennifer Lopez. But it also means that the
game's not over yet. I am 'still' growing and 'still' working to do the best I
can."
Last October 29, Jennifer Lopez and Lancaster Group hosted an intimate, private
dinner with International editors from all over the world. The dinner was held
at the very exclusive venue, Glorious Food, to launch her second fragrance,
Still Jennifer Lopez.
"Still Jennifer Lopez is sheer, intoxicating and seductive. It's feminine,
it's fulfilled, it's very real. Still Jennifer Lopez is very true to my passions
and my relationship to the public," said Ms. Lopez at the dinner.
Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc.; Michele Scannavini, president, Lancaster Group
Worldwide; Bob Cankes, president, Lancaster Group North America and Denise
Seegal, CEO, Sweetface Fashion Co., LLC also attended the dinner.
"Still Jennifer Lopez" is available at fine department stores starting at
$49.
