Sep 21, 2001/ FWD/ --- Italian fashion group Marzotto SpA said today that it has decided to cancel
presentations originally slated for the upcoming Milan fashion week for the Gianfranco Ferre Studio,
Gianfranco Ferre Forma and Borgofiori collections.
A Marzotto spokesman said that the decision was made out of respect for the victims of the recent
terrorist attacks in the U.S. At the same time, the company is expecting that the attendance of foreign b
uyers from the U.S. and Japan will be down significantly and therefore, there would have been few attendees
at these events.
Milan’s fashion week is set to begin September 23.
