Lloyd Klein Helps Dreams Come True
Lloyd Klein Will Present His Spring 2002 Collection at the Fashion Can Charity Event
New York Fashion Week Spring 2002
Los Angeles, Oct 16, 2001/ FW/ --- For his third season in New York, Madame Grés protégé,
couturier Lloyd Klein was scheduled to present his Spring 2002 Collection at the Hotel Plaza Athenee
last September 14. The designer, out of respect to the victims of the World Trade Center attack
cancelled his show altogether.
On Monday, November 5, 2001, Lloyd Klein again shows his heart. He will be presenting his Spring
2002 collection at the Dream Foundation's "Fashion Can Make Dreams Come True" event.
M.A.C, the leading brand of professional cosmetics, has sponsored the event standing behind
FASHION CAN in their efforts to support the Dream Foundation, a charity offering wishes to
terminally ill adults and their families.
To support Fashion Can, Lloyd Klein chose to present his Spring 2002 Collection that was supposed
to have been shown in New York. The event will be held at the historic Cicada in downtown Los
Angeles.
Sharing the spotlight with him is Los Angeles-based designer David Hayes, who will also
present his Spring 2002 collection during the event. The two designers will present their collections
separately during the evening.
With a shortened New York Fashion Week, designers were forced to look for other venues for their collections.
A lot of them chose charitable events to showing that fashion truly cares! Fashion is not only glitz and
glamour. It also has a heart!
