NEW YORK, Aug. 17, 2001 /PRNewswire/ -- Sean John, the world's fastest growing
line of men's urban sportswear, has announced that it will hold a fashion show
at Bloomingdale's flagship store in Manhattan to celebrate the official launch
of Sean John underwear. The show hosted by Bloomingdale's and co-sponsored by
Maxim Magazine, will feature models wearing both underwear and loungewear from
the new collection. The event will take place on August 22nd at 5:30 p.m. on
the Men's Lower Level.
"This show is sure to provide the spectacle and excitement that has come
to be expected of Sean John," said Jeffrey Tweedy, Executive Vice President of
Sean John. "And I can't imagine a greater backdrop than Bloomingdale's."
Earlier in February, Sean John successfully produced the first nationally
televised runway show during Fall Fashion Week when it simultaneously aired
live on E! Television and the Style Network.
Following the success of Sean John and Sean John Boys, the introduction of
the underwear line marks yet another step towards cementing Sean John's vision
of a lifestyle brand. "When we researched the men's underwear market, we
discovered a need for a well made line of underwear and loungewear with a real
fashion attitude." Jeffrey Tweedy went on to say, "In creating this line, our
goal was to set new industry standards in the areas of design, fabric and
workmanship."
The entire collection of Sean John underwear and loungewear ranges in
price from $15.00 to $225.00. The underwear collection offers an assortment
of boxers, briefs and tanks available in cotton or silk, while the loungewear
line consists of pajamas, robes and lounge shorts available in cotton, silk
and cashmere.
Sean John, a privately held company, was created by music icon and
producer Sean "Puffy" Combs, who made his fashion debut with a collection for
the Spring 1999 season. The contemporary line of men's and boy's sportswear
is sold in better department stores across the country as well as select
retailers around the world.
