NEW YORK, Aug 30, 2003/ FW/ --- Last Thursday night, R&B diva Beyonce Knowles scintillated at the 20th MTV
Music Awards red carpet.
With her sexy siren looks and head-turning gold Versace dress, Beyonce Knowles is easily one of the
best dressed women during the night.
But she could not have pulled it off without the proper make-up. Sephora Celebrity Makeup Artist,
Mally Roncal, tells Beyonce's secret.
"Her look was all about glamour," said Mally. Beyonce's one-of-a-kind Versace dress set the
the tone for the look.
"My inspiration was champagne. I wanted Beyonce to look sexy, sparkling and effervescent,"
explained Mally.
To achieve Beyonce's look, the celebrity make-up artist chose a soft palette of colors
to give her a delicate radiance.
For skin, Mally used Sephora Pressed Powder. For eyes, Dior Eye Quad in Rose Gipsy, a palette
with hot pinks and lavenders. For lashes, Sephora Curling Mascara. For cheeks,
Dior #558.
For lips, Dior Rose Energy. And for body, Mally used Dior's
Hydra-Reflect Moisturizer for shimmer.
Mally also used Sephora's Blotting Papers to keep Beyonce looking fresh throughout the night.
It was not only Beyonce Knowles whom Mally 'made-up' last Thursday. Rock royalty Kelly
Osbourne also received Mally's help in achieving her punk-rock look for the evening.
"Kelly loves to have fun with makeup," says Mally. "We worked together to
create a new-wave punk rock look that was inspired by early Duran Duran."
For skin, Mally applied Sephora All Over Skin and Sephora Pressed Powder. For eyes,
Dior eyeshadows Charm and Mystery. For lashes, Sephora Lengthening Mascara. For
cheeks, Dior So Cheek. For Lips, Dior Addict Lip Gloss #151.
