Victoria's Secret 2001 Fashion Show
Victoria's Secret Annual Fashion Show Returns to New York City with A First-Ever ABC Primetime Special

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is returning to New York City to kick off the 2001 holiday season, and is teaming up for the first-time ever with ABC for a nationally broadcast primetime special. The Fashion Show will take place on Tuesday, November 13th in New York City's Bryant Park. The one-hour ABC special, titled "The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show," will air on Thursday, November 15th at 9/8c.

The annual runway show, held for the past six years by leading lingerie retailer Victoria's Secret, features the world's top models including Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum and Daniela Pestova. As in years past, several charities will benefit from the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The show and the ABC special will revolve around a holiday theme, and will include musical performances, comedy sketches, red carpet interviews, model profiles and behind-the-scenes segments. Music and comedy talent are still being confirmed.

The unique collaboration between ABC and Victoria's Secret came about to capitalize on the intense popularity and public interest the show has come to generate. Past Victoria's Secret fashion shows have broken records for largest audiences ever for web-cast events. The special will be produced by Joel Gallen of Tenth Planet Productions, who has produced the "MTV Movie Awards," "VH1 Fashion Awards" (1996-98) and the recent national telethon "America: A Tribute To Heroes."

"We are delighted that the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is returning to New York City, particularly as we continue our efforts to promote the city as a tourism destination for the upcoming holiday season," officials at the Mayor's office said. "We believe that hosting this prestigious runway show, to be seen by millions during its national broadcast, will help us in emphasizing the glamour and charm of New York."

Victoria's Secret, a business of Intimate Brands Inc. (NYSE: IBI), presently has more than 887 lingerie and 471 beauty stores (of which 89 are stand alone) throughout North America, and internationally known catalogue and web site, www.VictoriasSecret.com .
