BCBG Girls Debuts at Bloomingdales
NEW YORK, May 23, 2002/ FW/ -- "No matter what their age," says Max Azria, "women never grow
out of wanting to be girls. It's about being young at heart."
Using those words as inspiration, Max Azria created 4 new scents to celebrate
"the girl within" every woman.
Appropriately named Nature, Star, Metro and Sexy, the scents offer four choices to
fit every mood, every occasion every day.
For the fun-loving girl within, there is NATURE, a refresing citrus floral scent.
If you're feeling confident, there is STAR, an opulent floral bouquet.
For the independent minded "girl," there is METRO with a crisp, white floral scent.
And if you're feeling sensual, there is SEXY, a luminous, sheer oriental fragrance.
So, where do you find the "girls"?
According to a Harris Interactive poll, they are everywhere. Polling over 750 women between the
ages of 18 to 34, 86% responded that there is a girl in every woman and
74% say that no matter what happens in their lives, they will always be a girl
at heart.
The girls are on TV. Just watch Sex and The City, and you find Carrie, Samantha,
Charlotte and Miranda.
The girls are on magazines like "Elle Girl" which cover girl trends globally.
They are also in books, like "Girls" by Pamela Hanson which includes photographs
with essays celebrating girls at every age.
And don't forget music, like the album "Strange Little Girls" by Tori Amos wherein
she sang about the girl in every woman.
And BCBG Girls, where will they be?
The BCBGIRLS fragrance collection will debut at Bloomingdale's across the country this
Memorial Day weekend.
