Going 'Red, White & Blonde'
Vidal Sassoon Salons to Offer Free 'Flash of Blonde' in Honor of National Blonde Day
Jun 18, 2003/ FW/ --- Fans of Elle Woods will be happy to know that June 30 has been designated as
"National Blonde Day" by MGM and Vidal Sassoon.
And to show that blondes really do have more fun, Vidal Sassoon salons in 10 cities across the
country will open their doors to the public to give free "Flash of Blonde" hair color treatments.
Being held in conjunction with the release of "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White Blonde," the
"National Blonde Day" is the theme of the "Makeover America", beauty giants Vidal Sasson,
Sephora and OPI has joined the blondemania.
Vidal Sassoon will be introducing 'Flash of Blonde,' a personalized hair color process that
reveals an individual's blondeness at heart on June 30.
According to Andrea Jean, the very blonde marketing manager of Vidal Sassoon,
salons in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Miami,
San Francisco, Scottsdale, Toronto, and McLean, VA, will be available to help
people make "blonde transformations."
Interested blondes-to-be should contact the Vidal Sassoon in their area to get more
information and make an appointment.
Sephora will also be in the salons sponsoring makeovers with stila cosmetics'
"Legally Blonde 2"-inspired color palettes, and O.P.I. will be on hand to offer
manicures with their LB2-inspired polishes.
To this sequel of the blockbuster comedy "Legally Blonde," Reese Witherspoon is back
as Elle Woods. And this time, she goes to Washington D.C., fighting for pet rights
in her 'legally blonde' ways.
The film is directed by Charles Herman-Wurmfeld, and also stars Sally Field, Regina
King, Jennifer Coolidge, and Bruce McGill, with Bob Newhart and Luke Wilson.
Produced by Marc Platt and David Nicksay, the screenplay is by Kate Kondell from
a story by Eve Ahlert & Dennis Drake and Kate Kondell, based on the
characters created by Amanda Brown.
