NEW YORK, Jan 11, 2002 /FW/ --- If you're like most of us, chances are you have your favorite sitcom and
favorite news program on TV. There is also a big chance that you own a DVD player or video
player.
In short, like most people, you spend at least 30 min to an hour a day watching TV. Now, you
can also spend that time getting a workout without missing your favorite TV show.
A new product from Health Rider, the Workout TV Treadmill™, combines a television and
a treadmill!
The HealthRider's new Workout TV Console features a 6.8" LCD television right in the console.
Users can have personalized access to cable television and choose what they want to watch
from a variety of options. The console also offers key features such as an LED display to help
users monitor caloric burn in real-time, plus distance, speed, incline and time elapsed.
A first ever in treadmill technology is the new Reflex Deck™, which absorbs the user's
energy with each step and channels it back to the user. The patent-pending reflex action and
unique arc-shaped deck was created to provide superior impact protection and propel the user
into his or her next stride.
The Workout TV Treadmill offers 10 workout options -- 8 preprogrammed workouts designed for
walking, running and pulse training, as well as 2 user-defined workouts. One Touch™
Speed means users can select speeds up to 10 miles per hour simply by pushing the
corresponding speed button. The Workout TV Treadmill also has Power Incline from 0% to 10%.
Again, with the touch of one button, users can increase the intensity of their exercise
without interrupting their workout program.
The HealthRider Workout TV Treadmill is available at Costco at an MSRP of $1399.
