NEW YORK, Aug 21, 2001 / -- Manicures and other pampering can be a great way to get over a nasty divorce.
Nicole Kidman is going one step further and opening her own nail salon.
The actress has announced that she is going into business with six others, including her sister Antonia,
brother-in-law Angus Hawley and cosmetics publicist Anna Marchant, to open a chain of express nail spas
in her native Australia. Called Nail Bar Generation, the first outlet opens this week in a major department
store on Sydney's north shore.
The shops will stock their own brand, called "regeneration," and offer manicure services for men and women.
Kidman said in a statement, "Anna, Antonia and I have created a new range of products which are high-quality
and beautiful to use. We hope they will appeal to everyone."
The former Mrs. Tom Cruise will be involved in all aspects of the business, and hopes to eventually take it
global.
