Versace, which already has perfumes and makeup that bear its name, said that the introduction of a skincare line for the face and body was, "the logical development for a brand increasingly oriented to a global luxury lifestyle."

The fashion group said that the new line is high performance, with carefully selected natural ingredients. Versace Skincare -- which includes cleansers, tonic lotions, hydrating gels and creams, and eye-zone and skin treatments designed to slow down the aging of skin -- was also created for "sensory pleasures," the fashion house said.

Versace Skincare is produced by Japanese group Kanebo.
