As reported by People Magazine, “McCartney and her husband, Alashair Willis, announced the birth of their first born child early Friday morning.”

During the Spring 2005 Prêt-a-porter season in Paris last October, Stella McCartney announced she was expecting her first child during her runway show held at the Palais Brongniart, wherein she received both congratulations for a very successful collection and for being a new mom-to-be.

The fashion press jubilant at the news had to hurry and write a review for her romantic and beach inspired Spring 2005 collection, that is available in stores next month; and break the news to the world that Sir Paul McCartney will be a grandfather for the third time.

Despite her pregnancy, McCartney was able to design her Fall 2005 collection scheduled to be unveiled at 10:00 in the morning at the Palais Brongniart on Thursday, March 3, 2005 in Paris.

Considered one of Paris’ rising stars, Stella McCartney launched her own label in 2001 under the Gucci Group banner.
