AshaStyle: Alternative Venue Off-The-Tents
Emerging Designers Show At Times Square for Spring 2004
New York Fashion Week Spring 2004

NEW YORK, Sep 6, 2003/ FW/ --- Officially, there is no 'Alternative New York Fashion Week.' 7th on Sixth and Ruth Finley's Fashion Calendar view the whole week as one big affair.

The tents at Bryant is the main venue, and those off the tents are considered, alternative venues.

One venue which is becoming the choice of emerging designers is ASHA.

Now in it's third season, this event at the popular Times Square Studios, it is the place to be on September 13th to catch the shows of incredible emerging fashion designers Geova, Ron-n-Ron and brand new designer DRES.

Ashastyle at Times Square takes place in the Street Level Studio within Times Square Studios (where they shoot Good Morning America).

This unique space wraps around the corner of 44th Street and Broadway, enclosed only by 10ft high glass windows.

With the show music pumping outside on the jam-packed sidewalks, space enables pedestrians to become a part of an otherwise exclusive fashion event.

It's also just blocks away from the Bryant Park tents!

ASHA offers complete fashion show production services for our designers, including a state-of-the-art sound system, professional lighting and staging, an L-shaped runway design (the models walk almost up to the sidewalk to give the public a great view), seating, complete backstage set-up and much more...everything it takes to produce a smooth fashion show.

Since its inception, a host of talented designers have infused the Times Square venue with exciting fashion shows, debuting amazing collections each season.

The designers showing with Asha this season are some of the hottest cutting-edge designers in New York.

Geova, the Brazilian designer known for his fabulous couture cocktail dresses, hits the runway with his distinct taste of eccentric womenswear.

Ron-Ron, twin brothers from Haiti, offer ultra sharp menswear, featuring chic suits with impeccable details and a modern flair with splashes of color mixed with the classic silhouettes.

DRES, a brand new designer uses innovative fabrics, such as perforated rubber and Teflon, that add a fresh hi-textural feel to his African inspired collection.

For three seasons now, Asha has been quietly catching a buzz with its innovative show venue during NYC's fashion week.

Who's who of the fashion world has attended its shows over the past three seasons.

Leon Hall from E! Entertainment and Judy Licht from Full Frontal Fashion praised Asha's cool space, among many others.

Ashastyle is sponsored by Ty Nant Spring Water; exclusively from Wales, UK and American Apparel.
