Patrick Robinson Named Creative Director at Perry Ellis
NEW YORK, Apr 10, 2003/ FW/ --- Patrick Robinson just added a new line to his resume -
Creative Director of Perry Ellis Women's Sportswear.
Public Clothing Company (PCC), the women's sportswear licensee of Perry Ellis
International (Nasdaq:PERY), announced Robinson's appointment today, which is
effective immediately. He reports to Elissa Bromer, President of Perry Ellis Women's Sportswear.
Robinson, 36 is known for his signature sportswear collection which he launched in 1997. He
later changed the name to 'Patrick Clark' (his middle name).
Prior to that, Robinson was Sr. VP of design, merchandising and marketing at
Anne Klein from 1994 until 1996 and Design Director for Giorgio Armani Le Collezioni from 1990 until 1994.
"I am truly enthusiastic about this exciting opportunity. The Perry Ellis
name has always epitomized for me what American sportswear is," said Patrick Robinson about
his appointment.
The Perry Ellis management is equally enthusiastic.
"Perry Ellis Women's Sportswear has been a great partner in building the
women's side of the Perry Ellis brand. The addition of Patrick to the design
team will further growth in the women's category," said Will Manzer, President
of Perry Ellis on the announcemnt

excited to have Patrick spearheading our design team. We feel that he has a true
sense of what the Perry Ellis brand stands for."
The Perry Ellis Womenswear label was re-launched by Public Clothing Company
during the Spring 2003 season after acquiring the license from Perry Ellis
International.
For Fall/Winter 2003, the label will be distributed in over 500
retail doors including Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Marshall Fields,
Dillards, as well as specialty stores around the country.
