This marks the retailer's 11th store in the southern California area which includes Sherman Oaks, Anaheim, San Diego, Glendale, Hollywood, Pasadena, Costa Mesa, Thousand Oaks, and Santa Monica.

Located at the Shops at Mission Viejo, Sephora's neighbors include other upscale retailers such as Armani A/X Exchange, Kenneth Cole, and Anne Taylor.

Another store is slated to open in downtown San Francisco at 33 Powell Street near the corner of Market Street this summer.

As previously reported, Sephora is closing its flagship 17,000 square feet flagship store located at Stockton and Market Streets this summer.

The Powell street location will be its replacement, albeit much smaller space measuring only 8,500 sq. feet.
