Apr 6, 2004/ FW/ --- An East Bay Company announced the launch of its new lip balm line called "Ganache for Lips: All Natural Gourmet Lip Balm". What makes the product line so unique is that it contains real chocolate, and not just any chocolate, but Scharffen Berger chocolate.

Scharffen Berger is an award-winning high-end chocolate maker that caters to gourmet cooks and professional chefs.

The lip balm line also contains high-quality ingredients such as Shea butter, vitamin E and apricot kernel oil, in generous proportions. The lip balm is all natural and preserved with Vitamin E and Rosemary Extract.

Unlike many other lip balm lines, Ganache contains no petroleum products. The texture of the product is light, buttery and emollient.

"I wanted to make a lip balm that was protective but not waxy like the other brands," said Ganache creator and owner Patricia West. "I think what we have here is something really luscious and decadent, really more of a lip conditioner."

Ganache for Lips^TM will be sold in Scharffen Berger's stores and premium grocery stores, pharmacies, coffee shops, and various boutique outlets. The first release is a chocolate mint combination. Future releases will feature other chocolate-based combinations.
