LONDON, Aug 25, 2004/ FW/ --- Actress Scarlett Johansson has a new role – the face of Eternity Moment, the latest fragrance from Calvin Klein due to hit stores in the UK on September 4.
The New York native whose performance in “The Horse Whisperer (1996) starring Robert Redford and Kristin Scott Thomas earned her a Hollywood Reporter Young Star catapulted to world fame when she co-starred in 2003 with Bill Murray in Sofia Coppola’s “Lost in Translation.”
The 20-year old actress who is considered as one of the most promising stars of her generation is also seen as someone who embodies what today’s young women are all about – independent, spirited and confident, which is also the message of Eternity Moment.”
Commenting on her being chosen as the face of the new fragrance, Scarlett Johansson said, “I was honored and surprised. It's exhilarating. The Calvin Klein fragrances have such an amazing history and so many incredibly beautiful women have graced the pages of advertisements and commercials for all his fragrance lines.”
Scarlett Johansson appears, with actor Trent Ford, in a TV commercial soon to be shown on British screens. The ad was shot by Peter Lindberg in California and captures the moment when two people are beginning to fall in love, then flashes back to the moments that show how it all began.
Inspired by the exhilaration of falling in love, Eternity Moment fresh-squeezed floral scent is a reinterpretation of an earlier Calvin Klein classic, Eternity, which was first released in 1988. It contains lychee, pomegranate flower, Chinese pink peony, passionflower and rosewood.
It will be packaged in with a transparent cap in a taller, more slender profile bottle compared to its older sister, Eternity.
The full Eternity Moment range will be available in leading department stores including Selfridges, Boots and the Perfume Shop nation-wide from September 4.
