LOS ANGELES, Nov 15, 2005/ FW/ --- Designed to reveal candid fun moments of Maybelline models, Kandokid Films, a New York based full-service media company produced and created a series of image branding films for Maybelline.
Currently running in Maybelline’s flagship stores, mall kiosks and other alternative outlets worldwide, the film featured model Erin Wasson as a DJ dropping beats in a New York City club while different brand images appear on a screen behind her.
Wasson, together with Adriana Lima and Josie Moran, who are the current faces of the cosmetics giant, headlined the latest TV spot for Maybelline that spotlighted Troy Surrat, Maybelline New York's Global Consulting Makeup Artist.
Shot on the streets of New York, the TV spot showed Surrat working on shoots with the brand’s models, while offering his professional philosophy about beauty and makeup.
Hip and urban with a touch of intimacy, the Maybelline ad campaign is currently airing nationally on NBC, CBS, MTV, Vh-1, E!, Bravo, Lifetime and BET.
Continuing the ‘hip, urban and intimacy’ concept of the ad campaign, but not showing the same TV spot already seen on the air, Jeff Kennedy of KanDoKid Films, who also directed the Troy Surrat TV spot, created the Image Branding film to show a more ‘intimate’ side of model Erin Wasson.
"So often we know the face of today's models, but never connect with them beyond their countless layouts," said Kennedy. "We devised the concepts together so the scenarios capture their true personalities."
