LOS ANGELES, Apr 4, 2006/ FW/ --- It was all about scents and fragrances last night in New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom as the Fragrance Foundation bestowed honors to this year’s crop of top fragrances.

Known as the "Oscars" of the fragrance world, this year's FiFi was hosted by Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Geena Davis. Together with presenters Sarah Jessica Parker, Vivica A. Fox, Philip Bloch, Betsey Johnson, Lee Ann Womack, John Corbett, Bo Derek and Vanessa Minnillo, winners were feted in front of 1,000 attendees in the international fragrance community.

Established in 1949, The Fragrance Foundation is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to enhance the image of the Fragrance Industry to the public and expand the appreciation and use of fragrance in all its forms across all distribution channels in the Americas. The FiFi Awards was initiated in 1973 and the event has become a gala event for the fragrance industry since then.

Biggest winner for the night was Coty Inc., which was honored with four awards for Celine Dion Parfums Belong, Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker, Euphoria Calvin Klein and Stetson Black.

Celine Dion Parfums Belong, the third fragrance from the singing sensation, was awarded the Best Packaging of the Year in the Popular Appeal category. Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker, one of Coty's recent celebrity fragrance introductions that made Oprah Winfrey's annual list of favorite things last December, was awarded the Best National Advertising Campaign of the Year for Television. Coty also took home two statues in the Fragrance Star of the Year category -- one in Men's Popular Appeal for Stetson Black and the other in the Women's Luxe for Euphoria Calvin Klein.

In commenting on the awards, Bernd Beetz, Chief Executive Officer, Coty Inc. said, "We are very pleased that Lovely, Belong, Stetson Black and Euphoria all received recognition from the Fragrance Foundation. It reinforces Coty's strength as the leader in the global fragrance industry and supports our on-going commitment to create innovative, exciting and engaging products for our consumers."

Evelyn H. Lauder, Senior Corporate Vice President of The Estçe Lauder Companies Inc., received The Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award.

Evelyn Lauder was chosen as this year's winner by The Fragrance Foundation’s Board of Directors for the extraordinary ingenuity, dedication and inner resources she has brought, not only to her Company’s success, but to the entire fragrance industry.
