This collaboration is also a milestone for Barbie®, which for the first time has partnered with an adult prestige cosmetics company. The Barbie® Loves Mac Color Collection became available in the U.S. last February 13.

To honor the occasion, Mattel has designed the MAC Barbie® Doll, fusing MAC’s downtown, sophisticated style with Barbie’s glamour and beauty. The collection and doll will launch worldwide on March 1

Created for the Barbie® girl in every woman, the co-branded cosmetics collection is inspired by Barbie® doll’s constant style and classic beauty.

Featuring a Barbie™-inspired color palette of candy pinks, buttercup yellows and girlish greens in pink-on-black packaging, the limited edition Barbie™ Loves MAC Colour collection is an explosion of sophisticated style and glamour.

Showcasing the detailed creativity of the line, the powder-based products are embossed with the signature Barbie™ ponytail silhouette logo. Prices range from $11 to $45 U.S. and items in the collection feature playful names such as Malibu Barbie, Fashion Leader, Loves Pink and Springtime Skipper.

The collectible MAC Barbie® doll features a glam, hip look inspired by the colour collection and includes a MAC “cosmetics” train case. Styled by MAC, this fabulous Barbie® doll is all dolled up with a sophisticated make-up look and two-toned, blunt-cut hair.

Her make-up is reflective of the Barbie™ Loves MAC Spring 2007 color collection featuring Barbie™ doll’s own signature Beauty Powder. Barbie® doll’s eyes are inspired by Aquadisiac, Carbon and Taupe Eye Shadows with Smolder Eye Kohl and Coal Black Pro Lash Mascara. Cheeks feature the look of Buff Powder Blush.
