NEW YORK, Apr 9, 2007/ MF/ --- Did you know that mood swings might be caused by a vitamin deficiency rather than a glitch in your personality? Dry skin might be easily remedied with a little more vitamin C in your diet?
Lack-luster hair could mean you need more B vitamins. Or, fatigue might be a sign you need more iron, not more coffee? You often can tell how well you're eating by how you look and feel. Experts say that all of these problems can be easily remedied by eating the right foods and/or adding a vitamin to your diet.
Elizabeth Somer, R.D., nationally recognized dietician, as seen on Today, Good Morning America, and The View shares some easy-to-spot warning signs of a bad diet that help you assess your dietary intake, decide what needs improvement, and identify simple ways to turn a not-so-good diet into a healthy one.

People between the ages of 55 and 64 years of age (46%) reported taking both a multivitamin and a calcium supplement. Only 15% of respondents between the ages of 18 and 24 reported taking both supplements.
Almost one in three women taking supplements stated that the primary reason for doing so is to build and maintain strong bones.
One in four women taking supplements believes you don’t get all the nutrients from diet alone, thus necessitating taking supplements.
