Juicy Couture, Terre d’Hermès, Unforgivable, Kenzo Amour, Viktor & Rolf Antidote Named Fragrances of the Year at 2007 FiFi Awards

LOS ANGELES, Jun 4, 2007/ FW/ --- Last May 31st, at the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center in New York, the Fragrance Foundation, fondly called FiFi, honored the year’s best in fragrances and bestowed Donna Karan with the Hall of Fame Award.

Presented to an individual who has brought extraordinary ingenuity, dedication and inner resources to bear, not only on his/her company’s success, but also to the fragrance industry as a whole, the Hall of Fame Award is voted by the foundation’s Board of Directors.

Founder of Donna Karan New York and DKNY, the New York-based designer is one of the prime movers of the ‘lifestyle’ concept in design, creating a vision from head-to-toe, from function to aesthetic.

As part of the ‘total look’ philosophy, Donna Karan beauty has introduced several popular fragrances, such as Donna Karan Gold, Cashmere Mist, Black Cashmere and Essence as well as DKNY Be Delicious and Red Delicious for Women and Men.

Accepting her award, Donna Karan said, “I think fragrance is an art. It’s not something you just put out there; it has meaning, it has substance, it has longevity.”

And on a statement, she said, “I'm particularly honored to accept this award on behalf of the amazing collaboration I had with my husband Stephan, who founded our beauty company. To us, beauty was more than a fragrance, it was our passion that went on to touch so many lives.”

The FiFi® Awards are an annual event to honor the fragrance industry’s creative achievements and are considered the “Oscars” of the global fragrance industry.
