MILAN, Jan 14, 2004/ FW/ --- Alessandro Dell’Acqua triumphantly presented his men’s 2004 autumn winter collection Tuesday night in Milan after a 2-year break from the international men’s calendar.

V-neck sweaters and turtlenecks, velvet jackets and bow ties are all indications that the direction the Dell’Acqua man will take next winter is decisively seventies.

Dell’Acqua ‘s Fall 2004 offering is a beautiful male silhouette that is simultaneously sexy and nonchalant chic, making him all the more noticeable.

Thin belts and ties, with key chains hanging from bags and pants are slight variations towards the dandy mod.

A neat and tidy man who is definitely not to be trusted in those buttock-hugging pants!

Patterns are high on the agenda and mini plaid, circular optic and graphic mini designs are to be found on ties, shirts and knitwear, at times worn all together.

Floral temptations on shirts played out the lover’s role after a night of frolicking wildness.

The seventies was a daring era fashion wise, in the mixing and matching, stylishly putting together anything and often without much thinking.

Dell’Acqua takes this concept and succeeds while playing on the fun side of fusion.

Constructed and precise are his jackets and the knitwear that perfectly fits the masculine bodies of his models.

He matches dark tones such as chocolate with pastel pinks in a classical Dell’Acqua palette before giving splashes of bright colour in green, orange, fuchsia and blue.

No nudity needed, sexiness is played with in the imagination as one cant help but wonder just what exactly lies beneath the contouring cuts of Dell’Acqua’s seventies styles.
