MILAN, Oct 2, 2004/ FW/ – It may seem true that fashion waits for nobody, but this is only a
simple illusion.
The Alessandro Dell’ Acqua show scheduled for 10am on day eight of Milan fashion week had
everyone seated and standing, with photographers piled on top of one another…waiting.
Waiting for the Italian queen of fashion to show up. So when the Signora Sozzani of the illustrious Vogue Italy walked in, you can imagine the applause she got.
Waiting and delays aside, Dell’Acqua delivered a collection of beautiful sensual female silhouettes wrapped in flowing sheer fabrics that danced in the light as his ladies walked the runway.
With a hint of ethnic flavor via kaftan reminiscent cuts and delicately stitched embroidery, uneven hemlines were matched with multiple military buttoned jackets as hips were evidenced, leaving mini shorts to show off long luscious legs with feet decorated in fringed stilettos, wedge heels or cool canvas.
By way of floral and paisley print, butterfly perforations and jungle knit, Dell’ Acqua for spring summer 2005 takes us on a journey to different corners of the globe where jersey and sexy silk chiffon dresses are just as fashionable as ever.
Whether structured or flowing, evenings are reserved for long elegance, high waisted trousers slightly jodhpur in volume and large chandelier earrings that give a touch of eccentric exotic detailed fun.
Gorgeously cut and delicately divine, Dell’Acqua oozes with femininity and class.
