Ann Demeulemeester DALLAS, Oct 11, 2001/ FW/ --- Belgian-born Ann Demeulemeester studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. A master deconstructionist and legendary in cutting great pants, she was part of the group of young designers who emerged from Belgium during the 1980s.

It was during the 1990s that her designs truly crystallized and came into their own. A technical master in her art and craft, Ann Demeulemeester is an avant-garde designer who is a true modernist. Her designs are not extremely austere, and "adjusts" to the figure of the wearer, making truly versatile.

Cutting edge fashion fused with being wearable is Ann Demeulemeester's strength and the reason for her commercial success.
