PARIS, Aug 7, 2006/ FW/ --- Bringing youthful enthusiasm with a romantic touch to the Paris Fall 2006 haute couture season, Anne Valerie Hash is giving establish houses a run for their money as she continues to create soft silhouettes that are modern and contemporary whiles staying with the stringent rules of haute couture.
With shorts and minis as theme this season, Hash’s cute ‘conquistador’ inspired shorts make a fitting daywear for a young debutante out for her first summer as an adult in the French Riviera.
Soft ruffles and imaginative use of sheering, Hash is still playing with her signature look of reinvented tailoring as she created blouses with two types of sleeves in one outfit such as a puff sleeve on one side and a sheered raglan sleeve on the other side.
And while in the past, Hash emphasized the shoulders, for Fall 2006, the legs became the erogenous zone as pleated minis, wrapped skirts, and blouson skirts gathered at the hem with a waistband accented the legs.
The hot pants were reworked, making it an asymmetrical jumper and paired with a sleeveless top featuring a bow collar.
Details were subtle as in the tiny buttons and tiny embroidery. The cut and draping was emphasized. Together with superb tailoring the whole collection showed a mature designer who has gained a sure hand.
