Italian-English Antonio Berardi studied at St. Martin's and worked with John Galliano while he was still a student. He graduated in 1994 with his graduation show attracting retail buyers from high-end stores in the U.K.

A member of the cutting-edge designers in London during the 1990s, Antonio Berardi developed his own style. With Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Hussein Chalayan dominating the fashion scene at that time in London, Antonio Berardi was also considred a fashion force in the city.

Antonio Berardi was able to strike a balance between Italian and English heritage in his designs. Taking inspiration from the streets, he can make clothes for high fashion, something you could wear to visit with the Queen, and he could also make it rough and tumble.

He could design from both ends of the spectrum and also along the middle! That is why his creations are very interesting - sometimes it looks so ordinary, sometimes they verge on genius. And yet, no matter how you view it, you cannot deny the fact that he is a technical master and a virtuoso when playing with fabrics and colors.
