Ashley Paige Spring 2006: High Energy & High Intensity
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios (Los Angeles Fashion Week) Spring 2006
By Mari Davis
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19, 2005 / FW / - Ashley Paige showed 42 looks inspired by the 1970’s, an All American Easy Rider, free loving hippie nature girl with a compilation of bouncy classic rock and roll music that all became famous during that decade played through out the show.
With each of the model seen wearing a folded bandana tied around their head, the bright colored cowboy boots with flowers and the background music, Ashley Paige had the models on high intensity along with the audience through out the entire show.
She showed 1-piece swimwear in plunge (that took a plunge way past the navel), speedo and racer back as well as halter and bando styles. But not to forget her 2-piece bikini in string and boy cut styles.
They came in solids and stripes, some with contrasting piping or outside stitching and the addition of beads for embellishment and some in crochet with macramé like criss-crossing accents.
The designer also showed pieces to be worn with or over her pieces like a floor length gown with patchwork tip, three quarter mesh shirt and a crown favorite, the ash and jam hippie gown as well as her lace stitched night gown.
So now, if you’re planning a trip to a local California beach, to Miami or a European beach locale, then you must look out for Ashley Paige’s Spring/Summer 2006 collection.
