MILAN, Jul 1, 2005/ FW/ – Laura Biagiotti’s man steps straight from an oil painting, his canvas like surroundings remain still while he comes to life and breathes the poetry he was originally created to do.
Set in an English park, the Biagiotti man is dandy and elegant with a wardrobe of cool signature knits and soft linens as his tools, he is now ready to face the urban jungle.
Floral is of the essence, embroidered and printed, but the spring summer 2006 man retains his masculinity as long flat fronted trousers fall straight to the floor and the vest makes it comeback.
Deep V knits are a combination of stripes and paneling in the lightest of yarns. Metallic flickers are speckled throughout for both evenings and summer daytime rain shower shimmers adding to a color palette of Biagiotti classics but with the addition of soft peach and pastels.
He needs nothing more than the softest nappa moccasins on his feet and a light scarf around his neck, or perhaps metal-framed sunglasses and visor cap for hotter days to accessorize a neat yet mature collection for the neo-romantic.
Soft and subtle, he seduces at ease and isn’t ashamed to use his prey’s wardrobe as inspiration for his own.
