MILAN, Sep 28, 2005/ FW/ --- Graceful and charming as the swan, the Anna Molinari ladies are the lead ballerina incarnate who played the starring role in Swan Lake.

Sticking to the edgy romantic look that has become her signature style, Anna Molinari wants her ladies to make an impression when they enter a room, like the ballerina who takes center stage.

Wearing frocks made up of tiny ruffles that reach mid-calf or mini dresses in ostrich feathers, is sweet and dainty with a mythical air around her especially with her flat ballerina shoes or canvas sneakers.

Grecian empire-dresses and jumpers, again with ruffles worn with nude shirts or a bustier mini-dress have a theatrical air. But instead of looking staid and melodramatic, it had an opposite effect – soft, alluring and pretty.

The Anna Molinari ladies for Spring / Summer 2006 are night creatures, who would usually start their day at 5:00 in the afternoon.

So, it’s not surprising that it was the evening gowns that brought down the house. Metallic gold shimmered with beads and sequins, while the toffee brown silk that was twisted and ruche draped elegantly on the figure.

Still, it was the ostrich lavender gown that summed up the whole collection – lovely and mythical as in straight out of a fairy tale.
