Blumarine by Anna Molinari MILAN, Sep 29, 2006/ FW/ --- It’s not often you see designers walking down the runway with tears in their eye’s, so when you do it’s for a good reason. This season Anna Molinari presented a beautiful collection for Blumarine that had the audience applauding throughout the show. The collection was so well receipted that the standing ovation put tears in the designer’s eyes.

Beautiful and romantic this season was a love story and fairytale. With the models walking out of a gift box lined with roses, the story began. Full of femininity and sweetness the clothes were sensually elegant. Fairytales became reality as pearls covered knit cardigans and jewels bedazzled light dresses.

Lavish fabrics fit for a princess came in all the colours of fairyland. From wisteria blue, pearl cream, cloud white and destiny black to all the shades of rose petals. Tailored jacket were majestically trimmed with all the treasures in grandma’s jewellery box. The cuffs and hems lacked not of richness and jewels.

From pencil to puff skirts every type of princess is satisfied. Day goes to night with simple suit sets to elegant tops with transparent Victorian sleeves. Three quarter knit cardigans with wider knit sleeves are the perfect cover up for a row boat ride under the wisteria tree.

Full skirts and high-waist bands are mixed with tiered ruffles and chiffon petals. Boleros and bombers in micro proportions have balloon sleeves that are cinched in the middle or set free flowing. The pieces are charming and proper yet sensual and determined. Cinderella heels are in emerald green and pink crocodile.

Prince charming asks you to the ball? No problem! Full-length evening gowns with long tails floating light and ethereal are sure to cast a spell on him. Ahhh, she’s done it again!

Anna Molinari really worked her magic this season creating clothes that need no words because the feelings they leave are so strong. Like fairytales they are timeless and leave long lasting impressions.
