MILAN, Sep 29, 2005/ FW/ – In British style and nostalgic romance Christopher Bailey gave his spring summer man his perfect spring summer lady.
She too chooses gold buttons and plays with volume. The trademark trench is in constant movement and transformation from cape to light and ruffle edged version to please the super feminine palette.
A slim yet comfortable silhouette accentuated at the waist is adorned with puff sleeves, pleats and lapels that fall like petals before reworking the empire line and taking inspiration from the 60’s with little bow detail under the breast and scoop necklines.
Like an English summer dream Bailey mixes together a colour palette of mustards, bronze, autumn leaves and blue skies. Little sweaters and polos are matched with tulip skirts that hang just above the knee all worn with knit beanies over long straight innocent hair.
Structured jackets and triple front pleated trousers with double back pockets leave room for contented elegance and neat nobility before exploring the desire for hemlines a little more daring.
Round-toed patent pumps say it all along with the chained handle handbags and weave print motifs on luscious fabrics.
Burberry Prorsum is feminine and soft, dreamy and well mannered, yet don’t let her appearance fool you, her real charm lies in unwavering diplomacy for a little rebellion.
