E-Play: It's a Party at E-Play

Milan, Oct 3, 2001/ FWD/ --- Felt like we were back in Manhattan in Milan Saturday at the catwalk show
E-Play, a label that made its runway debut last year.
Designer Livio Graziottin likes his ladies with a good dose of street-savvy attitude that often felt far
more edgy American than traditional Italian. His fabrics are stonewashed, distressed or plain worn, and
his cuts mannish and jarring.
Graziottin’s tops and shirts were sometimes trimmed with seaside awning stripes, and his denim vests often
smeared with images of buildings and mysterious objects. A Chinese mandarin jacket was made funky with
military stripes.
London hipster Victoria Bartley styled the show, sending the E-Play gals out in ankle socks with frilly
strips and industrial canvas belts to go with their punky/funky dresses.
With Jim Morrison raging on the soundtrack, you could tell the last thing the E-Play girl has on her mind
is work. Her sole aim: To party.
