MILAN, Oct 11, 2005/ FW/ --- ‘Portrait of a lady’ in a journey of light and colour, the Etro lady for spring summer 2006 is a spectacle of dreamy reflectivity with a truly feminine heart.
Influenced by the avant-garde of the early 20th century, contemporary use of colour transforms the painted portrait into wearable reality as Etro entwines Grecian goddesses dressed in draping and crisscrossing elements that create fluidity of flowing energy.
The soft secret heart of the Etro lady accentuates the waist with belts and two button tailored jackets, but the colourful Etro heart lies in print genius ‘giving each garment its own identity’ like a painters canvas.
Volume is played on as pleats hang long and flowing, skirt hemlines sit just above the knee and men’s trousers are sartorial and comfortable for simplicity and neatness.
Oriental influences come in forms of mosaic geometrical designs and silver embroidery, while the dandy is long since dead in the Etro female form with soft shouldered blazers, well to do micro vests and braces.
In a brilliant artists palette harmony is created as a dress as living angels appear timeless, yet contemporary in continuous lines that cross borders and accentuate everything stylish and tenderly sensual.
