MILAN Jul 1, 2004 – Innovative and spectacular the ‘Flash and Fantasy’ collection presented by Exte for summer 2005. Tuesday night, here in Milan, behind one of the most important contemporary galleries in the city, four black parallel catwalks hung from the sky, not simply as the backdrop, they were the runways. Exte held the first ever vertical fashion parade.

Harnessed, but without any other safety precautions, models hanging like string puppets proceeded to walk down the vertical runways (women even equipped with heels and handbags!) demonstrating the physical versatility of the Exte wardrobe.

Ergonomic pants and t-shirts are a must in minimizing discomfort with zips as closures and padding on elbows and knees, this adaptable collection is audacious and interpretive.

Rock climbing thrill seeker meets bright city neon lights in a colour palette of bright green, yellow and orange with blue as navy night and grays in urban and sweaty tones.

The male silhouette is streamline and muscular in denim and jersey complete with a ‘go-go gadget’ beige trench.

Hot and dirty tanks to optical must haves and pop animal designs on t-shirts, boys carry satchels and wear short thick ties with casual street wear where seams are visible completing the look with Exte graffiti ‘all stars’ sneakers.

Explosive energy and as the press notes state ‘extremism, excessive and extravagant…exte’ for an interpretive and venturesome collection.
