MILAN, Jun 28, 2005/ FW/ --- There must be a general consensus that every design house must spoof the 80's sitcom Miami Vice and or the lifestyle of Miami this season.
During the show, they were also filming a scene for the new movie "Cover Boy” which must have something to do with fashion and a beautiful boy. That story sounds very familiar.
The show began on an ultimate chic Miami inspired set with full waterfall and tropical plants. Poolside chairs were used as props as well.
Though the setting was tropical, Exte first displayed many muted rustic colours on trousers and jackets. Maize, deep brown and cream were whole looks.
The feel was very natural and neutral with simple jeans. Bearded models also added to the effect of being rustic and rough around the edges.
Of course there were the basics that included pink Capri pants, navy blazers and the classic Miami Vice white suit. Shiny jewelry and large medallions were added affects.
A couple female models were sprinkled through the show for effect wearing puffed mini skirts and short pleats.
Men's tuxedo trousers were made into cuffed knee shorts for women. Glittered silver waist bands on trousers and skirts were very eye catching and possibly a street trend to watch.
The men's collection took a turn into a nerdish look with models sporting spectacles with sweater vest and ties. Then the show took another turn into a more punk, yet elegant look where black suits and biker jackets were styled with slim pink and or black ties.
Through many moods and styles, Exte is equipped to dress any and every cover boy.
