MILAN Dec 18, 2003/ FW/ – The new woman for Ferré is audacious, strong willed and refined, and she is definitely not common.
For her, Gianfranco Ferré gave strong colours and decisive cuts.
Inspired by Venetian succession artist Vittorio Zecchin, geometric cut outs used in the collection are often circular.
The apparent taking away from the fullness of a shape or the intensity of a colour by small or large perforations created a vibrant architectural movement.
A feeling of awareness and equilibrium, of life, body and soul is the aura of Gianfranco Ferré spring summer 2004.
Sophisticated embroidery inlays and the use of precious fabrics like organza, chiffon and caddy in the interpretation of art.
But in applying art, nothing is poetic or romantic because there is technology by way of laser that attempts to arrive at perfection.
Crisp white shirts perhaps the only hint of the dream world, while pants are tight often elasticised and black tunics make for sexiness.
Gianfranco Ferré finished with explosions of reds and oranges and at this stage one begins to ask oneself, just how intelligent or courageous must one be to wear even one of these marvellous outfits without having an attitude that depreciates the importance and master skill level that Ferré has offered.
Do we give faith in the feline of today; or is this another test for her to demonstrate her perspicaciousness?
