Paris, Oct 9, 2001/ FWD/ --- Jean Colonna's girl is an after-dark diva, and make no mistake:
she doesn't wait in line to party, she has VIP access.
The young and the fun are devoted followers of the downtown Paris-based designer. His looks
are a combination of rock chic, punk, club girl and a touch of slut and smut.
For Spring/Summer 2002 there were many variations on the main looks: crushed loose black pants
and tight, tight black tops decorated with shredded lace and fabric, strands of silver and
black beads, ribbons and stitching.
Add to that wide, multi-buckle belts slung low, and it's time to rock.
Heavy white cotton pants hung sloppily low and shapeless at the crotch, but the white cutup
t-shirts with slogans like “Bad Girls Everywhere” were fabulously trashy and tarty.
Skirts, dresses and tops in white netting with circular cutouts and unfinished hems looked
club cool with a white and silver threaded wide belt in a floral print that also made its way
into a skirt.
Looks were monochromatic black, white, gray and flesh, with occasional spurts of red lace to
break it up.
