DALLAS, Dec 31, 2001/ FW/ --- John Richmond has not lost his touch! He is still a master of
tailoring techniques and he continues his signature style of fusing a hybrid of
influences using innovative fabrics.
Sharp and chic are the two words that come to mind in describing the designer's
Spring 2002 collection.
The silhouette he used was varied - from fluid to structured. Pencil cut pants to
flowing gowns, the attention to detail was just amazing!
The little red sash worn over a pair of pants, and the strand of pearls accessorizing
a deep V dress with criss-cross front - the elements would not mix if you take them
separately.
With John Richmond, they all come together, as if they are meant to be!
You could not help but think that each stitch was thought of, each cut of the fabric was
part of a master plan.
Transparent tops and pearls, tiny ruffles and denim, leather and lace, plus funny
slogans make the collection a true fashion fusion.
A very strong and wearable collection.
Once again, John Richmond successfully fused influences from different times and
made it his own, making it refreshing and unique.
