DALLAS, Feb 15, 2006/ FW/ --- Christophe Lemaire continues his suit of the youth market with a very dynamic and sportive collection that borders on street wear for Fall 2006.
Previewing the collection last week in New York, it was a street party with the ‘Stereo Lacoste’ blaring and the iconic alligator in neon. The setting can be any street in any urban center, or better yet, it can be any campus in any university.
And as it has been for the past several seasons, it is no longer just the world of tennis highlighted. Lacoste has turned into a complete wardrobe for active men and women.
A-line minis cuffed at the hem, striped tiny shorts, hip hugging pencil thin pants embellished with top stitching are what Lemaire proposes for Fall 2006 for young energetic young women on the go.
Paired with striped tees, solid V-necks, varsity jackets, outer coats lined with shearling, and snug-fitting suit jackets with soft sloping shoulders, it is all about ‘comfortable dressing up without being formal.’
The shoes of choice – moonboots! It will keep your tootsies warm and make sure that you don’t slide on sleet and snow.
The men’s collection echoes the women’s, with bomber jackets, down-filled outer coats and pullover sweaters. Trousers have a relaxed fit and though the men do not have to wear moonboots, their sneakers are also colorful in green and red.
Active and dynamic, Christophe Lemaire just raised Lacoste’s popularity a notch with this collection.
