LOS ANGELES, Mar 29, 2004/ FW/ --- Maria Bianca Nero who used to be a fashion model based in Europe brought Paris to Los Angeles with her Fall 2004 collection which was inspired by the City of Lights.
Opening with a mocha floral chiffon and cashmere tank layered with a camel tweed coat, it became apparent that the collection is meant for today’s traveling, multi-faceted woman who is not afraid to both “see and be seen.”
It’s also perfect for the denizens of the City of Angels, where sophistication is a way of life – sipping coffee in an outside café, walking down Rodeo Drive, or shopping at the flea market during those gorgeous Southern California autumn days.
Giving a nod to the mannish clothing that has been a major trend on the international runways, Maria Bianca Nero used traditional menswear fabrics but incorporated a feminine twist to it.
With a total of 42 looks dominated by herringbone, tweed and just a hint of chiffon, it’s Parisian chic in classy Los Angeles.
Aware of the season, the designer chose simple earthtone colors of mocha, rust, wheat, mauve and gunmetal as her main color palette.
The Maria Bianca Nero woman is confident in her femininity. She is not scared to wear trousers and sometimes look mannish. Matched with a satin lace camisole or black beaded sequin lace jersey, she is also telling the world that she is all woman.
Standouts in the whole collection included the hand-beaded mocha crushed velvet dress, black jersey beaded sequin lace long dress and the gunmetal beaded sequin lace strapless dress and one can't go wrong when you match it up with a vintage fur wrap that is fitting for an evening at the Champs Elysees or at one of Los Angeles’ famous premier nights.
