LOS ANGELES, Nov 3, 2003/ FW/ --- Los Angeles native, Maria Bianca Nero formally launched her eponymous line in 1998 at her Melrose Avenue Boutique.

But it has been around six years before. Since 1992, she has been selling her creations to Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s.

A former fashion model based in Milan, Maria Bianca Nero’s designs are strongly influenced by Italian fashion designers Azzedine Alaia and Romeo Gigli.

Her modern take on old-fashioned romance permeates on her line of evening dresses and separates. It’s all about body-enhancing elegance with unique cuts and seductive feel.

Inspired by the 1940s and 1950s fashion icons like Audrey Hepburn and Jean Harlow, Maria’s collections gently shapes the classic female figure with the use of her exclusive rights to a satin matte fabric from the early 1900s originally used in bathing suits and girdles.

She has caught the attention of the fashion press. Her creations have appeared on the pages of Vogue, W, InStyle, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Lucky.

Kim Cattrall, Jewel and Erika Christensen have been seen wearing Maria Bianca Nero’s creations.

The line is sold nationwide in the U.S. at Nordstrom's and specialty boutiques. It is also available in internationally in New Zealand, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
