MILAN, Feb 27, 2004/ FW/ – Mariella Burani takes us on a nostalgic journey over oceans and into the world of folk in an eclectic mix of free flowing ideas and the power to express oneself.
For fall 2004/05 she dresses her woman in little tailored jackets, in contrasting black and white and introduces her female to the splendour of the softest furs.
In a season that continues the search for femininity, Burani is in her element as she makes lace and floral key features in a collection that is attentive to detail and quality.
Naval influences and hints of flamenco with full rose printed skirts lined with tulle are all part of her wardrobe, but the greatest novelty for the designer of floral for the gypsy travellers and the women that choose to wear Burani, is that looks are now without seasons as she uses layers to keep out the cold.
Colourful knee high socks are worn with mini denim jackets, vintage overcoats and lace panelled dresses. Thick knit cardigans are layered over delicates, and shoes are adaptable to sun or rain.
Mariella Burani is precise and consistent in her trends, offering her fans the chance to mix and match as they choose, layering and then peeling back for all occasions.
The feel of this collection is free flowing, sensual but never too sexy, transparency and hard in your face looks are obsolete as nowadays the modern female is in search for something else, capable of using other means to get attention.
Sophistication is always in fashion and simplicity is the key as Burani designs clothes for the chic liberal, ideal travellers that live out of sincere curiosity.
