MILAN, Jan 21, 2004/ FW/ --- The Marni presentation exhibited a fusion of nature and technology. The clothes are all about natural elegance in a fantasy garden.
These classic garments with a twist were in the richest of dark, warm and decisive hues. Never bold, but impactful black, brown, rope and mud colours were used.
Wool tweed trousers will be teamed with geometric and strip motif shirts with tow –tone collars and cuffs. The classic cardigan will be layered on top innovated with front pockets and often longer.
Tailored three-button jackets in cotton velvet and varied tweeds will look superb with jeans. Pinstripes cut and assembled diagonally gave Marni suits a more formal allure.
Short knickers and baggy riding trousers are the new wave. The shoulder buttoned jumper is a significant item which comes in a muted red and gray.
Thin cardigans with visible seams and low-cut V-neck sweaters with simple rouging affects were effeminate. Aged pre-wrinkled suits in soft cottons will be great for the young man of leisure.
The Marni man will be fully accessorized with earmuffs and scarves in astrakhan. Camel hide and mulitcoloured calfskin and suede lace-up shoes compliment the collection well.
Large canvas colored handbags will make a statement along with plaid large handbags in varied shapes and sizes.
A small organizer and silk ties are forget me nots and will make great stocking stuffers for the winter months ahead.
The collection was very sensible with flares of elegant designs and motifs. Saying less is always doing more…for next winter.
