DALLAS, Jul 26, 2006/ FW/ --- Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni is fully embracing the internet with the launch of a virtual store at the label’s website, www.marni.com which will house the Italian brand’s womenswear collection and the unique accessories that Marni is known for.

The e-commerce subsite will be open starting September 26, 2006 and will be accessible to clients in the U.S. and Europe. Japan will quickly follow and the rest of the world is expected to join successively.

And unlike other e-commerce sites by other fashion houses that only sells selected items, www.marni.com will match the brick and mortar MARNI stores in terms of delivery timing and assortment, so that the same collections will be featured in both regular stores as well as on-line.

That means that the Marni Fall 2006 collection, which will hit stores this September will also be available online.

And Consuelo Castiglioni fans will not be disappointed with this collection that is signature Marni – whimsical, feminine and elegant.

Pale pinks and grays, prints in fall leaves that are graphical and stylized, ankle-length frocks with short raglan sleeves worn with a belt to define the female form, sewn in belts that peek at the buckles, low rise slouchy pants cut straight, and short cropped jackets that are guaranteed to keep you warm are the main staple of this collection.

Outercoats with continuous collars were trimmed with fur at the sleeves or at the hem for opulence. Bolero coats embossed with the stylized prints and traveling coats were adorned with beadwork.

For those who choose to wear walking shorts or skirts that reach just above the knee, dark leggings will keep them warm.

And since the e-commerce subsite was designed by YOOX, the first global e-commerce platform in fashion (Yoox took care of the technical and logistic infrastructures), expect it to be user-friendly!
