MILAN, Sep 29, 2004/ FW/ – More feminine, more sexy and more tailored than ever for an English summer 2005 interpreted by Brit original Neil Barrett.
He continues to follow his menswear collection presented in Milan in July earlier this year, by sticking to precise tones of army green, charcoal, ash and light splashes of bright white, all aimed at the hip modern traveler who doesn’t want to waste time ironing, and teeing everything together with the ultra trendy and comfy brown puma trainer or sexy ankle strapped sandals.
Evenings and days are undistinguishable in Barrett’s wardrobe that is perfect for women on the move. Lightweight leathers, fabrics made old by using ageing treatments, cheesecloth lightness while luxury touches of cashmere are mixed and matched with silks and denims.
Mini skirts are flirtatious, trousers thin and waists accentuated by belts and perfectly tailored jackets, giving the slender female silhouette a sassy sting despite her relaxed attitude, leaving one to wonder just what this young lady is capable of and just how far will she go to get what she wants.
Visions of women sunning on the coast in jersey dresses and tanks with unfinished seams, Barrett dresses his ladies often with delicious men’s tailoring in mind but with all the panache the femme of the 21st century has to offer.
