NEW YORK, Sep 16, 2004/FW/ -- 1940's Hollywood is what Jennifer Nicholson showed the audience Sunday night to debut her Spring/Summer 2005 collection.
Her father, Jack Nicholson was in attendance to support his daughter and seated front row; just before the show, the photographers at the pit started chanting "We want Jack" repeatedly. He obliged by getting up from his seat and giving them a photo opportunity as the room glowed from the flash of their cameras.
Soon enough, the show started and as the music with a 1940's cabaret beat played, a loud voice, also a part of the background music, bellowed, "show me your tits and lets make a hit."
Quite a fun, very playful and risqué selection from very short baby doll dresses to knee length polka dot dresses and a beaded checkerboard sweater to a circus print peek-a-boo dress.
Nicholson's detailing included lace, studs, black diamond crystals, beading and fringe. The collection was truly meant for one who wants to go out and have fun, fun, fun, and more fun. And let's face it, why not flaunt what you've got while you've got it.
Though most women may not wear her black net see-through dress with just the nipple covers and a pink ribbon at the end, with a bit of imagination, you could transform the piece into a more wearable ensemble.
So for the women, who love to have fun and be noticed, hurry and look for the Jennifer Nicholson Spring/Summer 2005 collection when it hits store front next season.
