LOS ANGELES, Oct 29, 2004/ FW/ --- Presenting to a full capacity crowd at Stage One at Smashbox Studios, Pegah Anvarian’s flowing and delicate creations that made the models look like Egyptian princesses wowed the audience that included Carmen Electra.
Choosing a sorbet color palette of lavender, old rose and baby blue, it was springtime in ancient Egypt when Cleopatra ruled and mythological creatures lived.
For Spring 2005, Pegah Anvarian emphasized the shoulders by playing with the necklines.
Halter dresses with navel-baring deep V necklines, strapless gowns and spaghetti strap minis, jewel necklines with wide silver piping and dog collars for tops, the Dallas-native designer stayed with a sexy silhouette.
Using layering and draping, skills that she had mastered, Pegah Anvarian also played with the hemlines, from handkerchief hems to layered skirts. She also gave a nod to “shredded skirts” made of layered strips of cloth that was seen on the international fashion circuit this season.
Forgoing jewelry, the designer used silver fabric as embellishment. So, who needs bling when your outfit has metallic elements in it already?
With this very femme collection, Pegah Anvarian will surely gain more fans this coming spring.
