LOS ANGELES, Oct 30, 2003/ --- Pegah grew up in Dallas, Texas where her father was a
photographer and her mother a seamstress.
At eight, she started making her own clothes, and up to today, she still handmakes the
first samples of her collections.
In the early 1990s, Pegah relocated to L.A. to study fashion. After working on her craft,
fate intervened and was out on tour with the B-525 as their head wardrobe stylist.
After the end of their nationwide tour, Pegah moved to New York and began a successful
career styling for music videos and commercials for various cutting edge bands and directors.
In 2002, she retired from styling and began draping cashmere and silks, which led her to launch
her own line in Fall 2002.
Her Fall 2002 debut collection was a great success, that orders from Henri Bendel in New York
and Madison in Los Angeles began stocking her creations.
Draping is Pegah's specialty. She attributes vintage Halston as her primary influence.
Pegah's celebrity fans include: Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Celine Dion, Britney Spears,
Cameron Diaz, Carmen Electra, Charlize Theron, Gabrielle Union, LeAnne Rimes, Mya,
Shakira and Winona Ryder.
